Who we are

Our website address is: https://grassbankconversions.co.uk. We make and sell bits for certain kit cars.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Orders

When you place an order we store the details that you enter so that we can process the order, an automatic user account will be created so that you can keep track of your orders. We NEVER keep payment card or bank account details. To get a copy of or to erase the data that we hold on you please email orders@grassbank.co.uk with the request for either a copy of your data or to erase your data. We’ll need to know the email address of the account under discussion and an email will be sent to that address both for verification and with details about how to proceed after being verified. Please be aware that this is a semi-manual process. Someone at our end has to click on the right button to allow the process to proceed through the various stages so don’t expect this to just happen. As you will see below, some data we are obliged to keep, if it helps, please submit a new email request to see what data has been retained.

Contact forms

If you want to contact us then please either send us an email or call us. Our details are on the ‘contact us‘ page, we don’t really do contact forms.

Cookies

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

We don’t use marketing or tracking cookies. Everything that we do on this site is designed to make things easier for you and for us, not for some marketing junkie. You can usually check what cookies are being used by clicking on the padlock near the top left corner of the page, next to where it says grassbankconversions.co.uk. Click on the padlock then a small window will open where you can inspect everything. The ones that say gadwp help us to measure traffic on the website and don’t contain any personal data, they may show up as tracking cookies but it’s not you personally that we’re tracking, just the fact that someone (anyone) visited the site and looked at certain pages. The others with wp or wordpress in the title relate to the software that we use to build this website and they are there to do things like keep you logged in or stuf to do with your account on the site. If you click on any cookie it will tell you all about it, it’s quite fascinating if you can be bothered. One thing that you’ll notice is that it tells you when the cookie expires, another is that you can delete anything cookiewise. BTW, that padlock means that the connection between your device and our web server is encrypted by the use of industry standard security certificates.

That previous paragraph is what you see if you use Google Chrome as your browser, it’s a bit different in Firefox and probably different again in other browsers, the point is that we have nothing to hide and we’re happy to help you understand that.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. It’s unlikely that we’ll ever embed anything from another website (except perhaps the google map on the ‘contact us‘ page).

Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
