You can think of these as finishing panels or as time saving components which also look great.
There are three basic areas dealt with in this section
- Front bulkhead panel
- Under dash knee panels
- Side door surround panels
Sitting between the dashboard and the centre console this simple panel holds the magnificently appointed front air vent and the footwell vents. Its shape optimally fills the hole between the two adjacent sections and keeps everything looking good: very neat and tidy.
The under dash panels close off the area under the dashboard. They are designed to allow the DIY trimmer to upholster them with ease. They include cutouts to allow what were once door mounted speakers to be fixed above the panels whilst allowing the sound to escape and to mix with the exhaust and road noise… Whilst they are simple panels they provide a finishing touch which also allows access to the under dash area without having to remove everything else.
The side door surround panels are a work of genius. Remove all of the Z3 trim and replace it with a single fibreglass panel on each side. Glue your carpets to the panel and sail on…
